They were divided into 2 different groups, whereof Stöpen IBK could be found in Group A together with Marstrands IBK, Borås IBF and Bergs IK. Stöpen IBK continued to Slutspel after reaching 4:th place in Group A. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Bergs IK with 1-2. In the Final, Bergs IK won over Marstrands IBK and became the winner of Slutspel in Pojkar 16 (1998).
