Salems IF was one of 81 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Göteborg Cup Innebandy 2016. They participated with three teams in Pojkar 14 (2001) and Flickor 10 (2005) respectively. The team in Pojkar 14 (2001) made it to the the in Gruppspel, but lost it against Marstrands IBK by 1-7.

In addition to this, Salems IF have participated in Göteborg Cup Innebandy before. During Göteborg Cup Innebandy 2015, Salems had two teams playing in Pojkar 14 (2000). The team in Pojkar 14 (2000) made it to the the Final in Slutspel, but lost it against Linköping IBK Lag 63 by 3-4.

Salems comes from Rönninge which lies approximately 380 km from Göteborg, where Göteborg Cup Innebandy takes place. The area around Rönninge does also provide 10 additional clubs participating during Göteborg Cup Innebandy 2016 (Hässelby SK IBK, Rotebro IS IBK, Älvsjö IBK, FBI Tullinge, Nacka Wallenstam IBK, FARSTA IBK, Sköndals IK, Bele Barkarby IF, Järfälla IBK and Råsunda IS).
