Salems IF was one of 72 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Göteborg Cup Innebandy 2017. They participated with two teams in Pojkar 15 (2001). The team in Pojkar 15 (2001) made it to the the in Gruppspeland won it over Pixbo Wallenstam IBF 1 by 1-0.

In addition to this, Salems IF have participated in Göteborg Cup Innebandy before. During Göteborg Cup Innebandy 2016, Salems had three teams playing in Pojkar 14 (2001) and Flickor 10 (2005) respectively. The team in Pojkar 14 (2001) made it to the the in Gruppspel, but lost it against Marstrands IBK by 1-7.

Salems comes from Rönninge which lies approximately 380 km from Göteborg, where Göteborg Cup Innebandy takes place. The area around Rönninge does also provide 7 additional clubs participating during Göteborg Cup Innebandy 2017 (AIK, Hammarby IF IBF, Älvsjö AIK IBF, Älvsjö AIK IBK, Trosa Edanö IBK, Råsunda IS and Rotebro IS IBK).
