In addition to Åkersberga IBF, 10 other teams played in Damjuniorer 18 (1997-98). They were divided into 2 different groups, whereof Åkersberga IBF could be found in Group B together with Hässelby SK IBK, IBF Backadalen, Bergs IK and IBK Elfhög.

Åkersberga IBF continued to Slutspel after reaching 1:st place in Group B. In the playoff they made it to Semi final, but lost it against Bele Barkarby IF with 0-4. In the Final, Nacka Wallenstam IBK won over Bele Barkarby IF and became the winner of Slutspel in Damjuniorer 18 (1997-98).
