Surte IS IBK was one of 72 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Göteborg Cup Innebandy 2017. They participated with three teams in Pojkar 14 (2002), Pojkar 15 (2001) and Flickor 16 (2000-01) respectively. The team in Flickor 16 (2000-01) made it to the the Semi final in Slutspel, but lost it against Lindome IBK by 1-4.

In addition to this, Surte IS IBK have participated in Göteborg Cup Innebandy before. During Göteborg Cup Innebandy 2016, Surte IS IBK had three teams playing in Pojkar 13 (2002), Pojkar 14 (2001) and Flickor 14 (2001) respectively. The team in Flickor 14 (2001) made it to the the in Gruppspeland won it over IBK Göteborg by 2-1.

Surte IS IBK comes from Surte which lies approximately 14 km from Göteborg, where Göteborg Cup Innebandy takes place. The area around Surte does also provide 22 additional clubs participating during Göteborg Cup Innebandy 2017 (Among others: Lindås Waves IBK, FBC Vinga, IBF Backadalen, IBF Älvstranden, Floda IBK, Partille IBS, Mölndals IBF, Särö Seahawks IBK, Sävedalens IBK and IBF Göteborg).
