Linköping IBK was one of 72 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Göteborg Cup Innebandy 2017. They participated with two teams in Pojkar 15 (2001) and Pojkar 16 (2000) respectively. Two teams played until Final in Slutspel; Pojkar 15 (2001) won over Pixbo Wallenstam IBF 2 by 3-0 and Pojkar 16 (2000) won over Tunet IBK by 3-2.

In addition to this, Linköping IBK have participated in Göteborg Cup Innebandy before. During Göteborg Cup Innebandy 2016, Linköping IBK had two teams playing in Pojkar 14 (2001) and Pojkar 15 (2000) respectively. The team in Pojkar 15 (2000) made it to the the Final in Slutspel, but lost it against Partille IBS by 1-2.

Linköping IBK comes from Linköping which lies approximately 230 km from Göteborg, where Göteborg Cup Innebandy takes place. The area around Linköping does also provide two additional clubs participating during Göteborg Cup Innebandy 2017 (IBF Linköping and Bergs IK).
