IBF Göteborg was one of 72 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Göteborg Cup Innebandy 2017. They participated with one team in Pojkar 15 (2001).

In addition to IBF Göteborg, 17 other teams played in Pojkar 15 (2001). They were divided into 3 different groups, whereof IBF Göteborg could be found in Group C together with Pixbo Wallenstam IBF 2, Lillån IBK, Lindome IBK, IK Zenith and Onyx IBS.

IBF Göteborg continued to Slutspel after reaching 3:rd place in Group C. In the playoff they made it to 1/4 Final, but lost it against Linköping IBK with 2-4. In the Final, Linköping IBK won over Pixbo Wallenstam IBF 2 and became the winner of Slutspel in Pojkar 15 (2001).

IBF Göteborg originates from Göteborg, which is the same city as where Göteborg Cup Innebandy takes place. The area around Göteborg does also provide 23 additional clubs participating during Göteborg Cup Innebandy 2017 (Among others: Lindås Waves IBK, FBC Vinga, Varla/Sandö IBK, IBF Backadalen, IBF Älvstranden, Surte IS IBK, Floda IBK, Partille IBS, Mölndals IBF and Särö Seahawks IBK).
