Lindås Waves IBK was one of 81 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Göteborg Cup Innebandy 2016. They participated with 6 teams in Pojkar 11 (2004), Pojkar 12 (2003), Pojkar 13 (2002), Flickor 11 (2004), Flickor 16 (1999) and Damer respectively. The team in Damer made it to the the Semi final in Slutspel, but lost it against Åkersberga IBF 1 by 1-2.

In addition to this, Lindås Waves IBK have participated in Göteborg Cup Innebandy before. During Göteborg Cup Innebandy 2015, Lindås Waves IBK had 6 teams playing in Pojkar 13 (2001), Pojkar 15 (1999), Flickor 10 (2004), Flickor 14 (2000), Flickor 15 (1999) and Damjuniorer 18 (1996-97) respectively. The team in Flickor 15 (1999) made it to the the Final in Slutspeland won it over IK Zenith by 1-0.

Lindås Waves IBK comes from Hovås which lies approximately 9 km from Göteborg, where Göteborg Cup Innebandy takes place. The area around Hovås does also provide 25 additional clubs participating during Göteborg Cup Innebandy 2016 (Among others: Sävedalens IBK, IBF Göteborg, FBC Lerum, IK Zenith, Partille IBS, Marstrands IBK, IBK Göteborg, Lindome IBK, IBF Älvstranden and Pixbo Wallenstam IBF).
