IBF Älvstranden was one of 54 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Göteborg Cup Innebandy 2019. They participated with four teams in Pojkar 15 (03), Herrar (A-licens), Flickor 11 (07) and Flickor 13 (05) respectively. The team in Herrar (A-licens) made it to the the Semi final in Slutspel, but lost it against IK Zenith Div1 by 2-6.

In addition to this, IBF Älvstranden have participated in Göteborg Cup Innebandy before. During Göteborg Cup Innebandy 2018, IBF Älvstranden had three teams playing in Pojkar 14 (03), Herrar (A-licens) and Flickor 11 (06) respectively. The team in Pojkar 14 (03) made it to the the Semi final in Slutspel, but lost it against IBK Genarp by 2-6.

IBF Älvstranden comes from Kärna which lies approximately 18 km from Göteborg, where Göteborg Cup Innebandy takes place. The area around Kärna does also provide 26 additional clubs participating during Göteborg Cup Innebandy 2019 (Among others: Pixbo Wallenstam IBF, Ale IBF, Utbynäs SK, Pixbo Wallenstam, IBK Kungälv /Munkegärde, Lindås Waves, FBC Vinga, IBK Bergum, Kärra IBK and IBF Backadalen).
