Varla IBK was one of 54 clubs from Sweden that had teams playing during Göteborg Cup Innebandy 2019. They participated with 5 teams in Pojkar 15 (03), Pojkar 16 (02), Flickor 13 (05), Flickor 16 (02) and Damer (A-licens) respectively. Two teams played until Final in Slutspel; Flickor 16 (02) won over Tunet IBK by 2-1 but Flickor 13 (05) lost against FBC Lerum by 2-3.

In addition to this, Varla IBK have participated in Göteborg Cup Innebandy before. During Göteborg Cup Innebandy 2018, Varla IBK had three teams playing in Pojkar 14 (03), Herrjuniorer 18 (99-00) and Damjuniorer 18 (99-00) respectively. The team in Herrjuniorer 18 (99-00) made it to the the in Gruppspel, but lost it against FBC Ängelholm 1 by 0-3.

Varla IBK comes from Kungsbacka which lies approximately 26 km from Göteborg, where Göteborg Cup Innebandy takes place. The area around Kungsbacka does also provide 24 additional clubs participating during Göteborg Cup Innebandy 2019 (Among others: Pixbo Wallenstam IBF, Utbynäs SK, Pixbo Wallenstam, Lindås Waves, Onsala IBK, FBC Vinga, IBK Bergum, Kärra IBK, IBF Backadalen and Frölunda IBK).
